NUX MG-400 Overview
The NUX MG-400 is a versatile multi-effects pedal designed for guitar and bass players, offering a wide range of features at a budget-friendly price point. It’s equipped with dual DSP chips, which enable high-definition White-Box Amp Modeling and a variety of post-effects, making it a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the MG-300.

Features
The MG-400 includes 25 guitar amp simulations, along with one bass amp and one acoustic amp simulation. It also provides 25 onboard cabinet simulations, which can be enhanced by adding third-party impulse responses (IRs) through the NUX QuickTone software. This software also allows for firmware updates and use as a recording interface, making the MG-400 a flexible tool for both live performances and home recording.

Effects and Interface
In terms of effects, the MG-400 covers a broad spectrum, including various reverb types (such as plate, hall, and spring), delay effects (analog, tape echo, reverse), and modulation effects like vibrato, tremolo, phase, flange, and chorus. The unit is easy to navigate, thanks to its intuitive color LCD screen, which simplifies the editing process.
Scene Functionality
One of the standout features of the MG-400 is its scene function, which allows users to switch between different effect setups within the same patch without changing presets. This is particularly useful for live performances, where quick changes in tone are needed.

Looper and Drum Loops
The unit also includes a looper with a maximum recording time of 60 seconds in mono, which can automatically sync to the tempo of your playing, and it comes with onboard drum loops tailored to various musical styles, making it an excellent tool for practice and songwriting.
