Bass Guitars

The bass guitar or simply bass, is a stringed instrument that shares many of the same qualities to an electric guitar, except with a longer neck and four to six strings. The four-string bass is tuned the same as the double bass tuned one octave lower than the tuning of the electric guitar (E, A, D, and G).

The Bass Guitar was First Built-in 1930s by Paul Tutmarc of Seattle, Washington. It was designed as a fretted instrument that was played horizontally. But the Bass guitar was not popularised till the 1950s when Leo Fender’s company, Fender, with the help of this employee George Fullerton, developed the first mass production bass guitar and the iconic fender precision bass was born.
