Here is a concise and playable version of the well-known classic by Rimsky-Korsakov. Using themes from “The Sea” and “Sinbad'sShip,” Jay Bocook skillfully adapts this work for young players w hile still maintaining crucial elements from the original orchestration.After the powerful unison opening, the solo cadenza can be performed ei ther by alto sax or clarinet.
